The Cruise of 2011

We have been talking about going on a cruise for what seems like forever, and we FINALLY did it! We went on a 7 day cruise with 3 other couples and had a blast. Just a warning - this might be picture overload ....

We flew into Orlando on a Friday night and stayed the night at the Marriott before heading to the ship the next morning. The first pictures of the trip were on the shuttle to the port ..

Here are Brock and Whit and me and Luke hangin out on the bus . .

We finally made it! Holly Ship!

The first night on the cruise we hung out on the "Lido Deck" and enjoyed a killer buffet and don't forget the all you can eat soft serve ice cream. Yes Please!

On Sunday we stopped in Nassau Bahama's and went to Atlantis. I could spend a whole vacation at this resort. They have the best lazy river ever!

Atlantis has a really cool aquarium with all kinds of sea animals. There were star fish that you could actually pick up and touch. Here's me and Whit checkin out the star fish. (can you tell we are sisters with the identical cheese grin??)

Luke checkin out the star fish!

Sunday night was the first formal night. Awesome steak dinner!

The shows on the boat are really fun! After dinner we went to the theater for a little entertainment!

The next stop was St Thomas. We docked really early so we had all day to spend on the island. We decided to do some snorkeling. Its amazing what is swimming beneath you in the ocean!

The last stop was St Martin. This was my favorite stop. Half of the island is French and the other half is Dutch. It was like we were pulling up to a little floating french city. The island was beautiful and so clean! We did some shopping and went to the beach.

Another formal night . . .

Me and Whit hangin out in the casino where we lost an undisclosed amount of money!

One thing that I love about cruises is the awesome shopping. Me and Luke both came home with new bling. I wanted to get a picture sporting the new watches but I guess I'll have to settle for this. Love you honey!

Getting home was an experience . . We ended up spending a long day in the airport. We were really glad to finally get on the plane.

We had such a great vacation, and I can't believe we came home to snow. Kind of a bummer after a week in the sun, but at least we can enjoy the snow with a tan! Thanks everyone for the awesome week, we loved hanging out with you!

The Best Family EVER!!

I love when my family gets to hang out on the weekend. We all have such crazy schedules that it doesn't happen very often. My awesome parents gave us Brick Oven gift cards with our Valentines gifts (yes, my parents still give us presents on holidays and I love it!) So, Luke and I decided it was a good time to get everyone together and to our surprise everyone actually had the night open and we were able to pull it off.

Mom and Dad, Kylee and Skylar, Connor and Lizzy

Me and Whit

Luke and Brock (trying to be tough ... but we know they are softies!)

And how could we forget freakin cute Cohen. This boy LOVES his ranch!

Why dip when you drink!!

Me, Kylee, and Mom

We had such a fun night together. The poor waiter probably didn't get to help anyone else that night because we were at the table for almost 3 hours. LOVE my fam!!

The Weekend . . .

We had an awesome weekend! Friday night Luke and I went to the Bountiful Temple with my mom and dad. That always feels like a good ending to a long week. After the session we went to Texas Road House for dinner. I swear their cinnamon rolls are my weakness. I think I ate my entire weeks worth of carbs in one meal. Yikes! It was totally worth it though. Thanks mom and dad for the great night! We love you guys.

I think I spent the whole weekend eating out. Saturday afternoon I went to lunch with my favorite girls from Salt City! When I lived in Sugarhouse, the four of us were attached at the hip. I don't think there is a single memory from then that doesn't have at least one of these girls in it. We sat at our table for close to 3 hours catching up and hearing the latest on each others lives. It's weird how much everything has changed. There are babies on the way, new husbands and new jobs. This is one group of girls that I hope I never loose touch with.

Love and miss you guys!!

Pictures of the new house!

As promised, here are pics of the new house. We moved in May 27, 2010.... PS I have no idea why everything is underlined, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix it. So, sorry about that :) Anyway, here is the front of the house. I love the yard in the Summer when it's in full bloom with bright colored flowers. It looks sad in the Winter.

Here are some of my favorite accessories. My mom and sisters gave these to me for my birthday last year and I think they are my favorite thing in my house. I have been obsessed with this green color lately.
Still, to this day and probably forever will I be addicted to Diet Coke. Hi, my name is Mackenzi and I am an addict. This sign defines my love for my addiction!

Here is the dinning room, and our cute tiny table. I love the tall chairs and it fits perfectly in the nook.
Gus was sitting on his rug while I was snapping pictures and I couldn't help but take a few of him. Look at that face! We love our little boy. We have the most well behaved kid in the neighborhood!

Here is the living room just off the kitchen. This is one of my favorite rooms in the house. It's always clean, and the big over sized chairs are angled just enough to watch the sun set at night.

Here is our family / TV room. This has got to be the comfiest couch ever made. The corner of the couch is the most worn because it is our favorite spot to curl up with a blanket and of course a Diet Coke and watch movie.

The entertainment center was here when we moved in and I have to say it was one of the many reasons I loved this house so much. It looks really sad right now because it's half empty and the decorations don't go together but we're getting there. When we were in our apartment I had so many decorations and accessories that I had to leave half of them in boxes. There was literally not an empty wall or corner to fit one more thing. But, the house is a totally different ball game. It's going to take me a while to get this place decorated the way I want it.

The photographer from our wedding made this tile picture of us and it hangs in our family room. I love it, and this wall was the perfect place for it!!

We are so excited to be in our house. We love our neighborhood, and the ward. We couldn't be happier!

Yes, it finally happened . . . I updated the blog!

So a LOT has happened in the last year. (yes it has been that long since I updated the blog!) Luke and I bought our first house in May, and we love it!! Its in Layton and only 2 blocks from Kylee and Skylar's house. Couldn't get any better! Pictures to come later... We also have a new addition to the family. Meet Gus! We went to Vegas with our good friends Corey and Token Criddle. I surprised Luke for his birthday and had so much fun! I promise it wont be another year before the next update :)
